Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Test Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering to support testing and evaluation of cutting-edge defense and electronic systems. This is a hands-on position located in Crane, Indiana, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and technicians in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans for electronic and electrical systems.
- Support test setup, instrumentation, and data acquisition efforts for hardware validation.
- Analyze and document test results, identify performance issues, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure test coverage and accuracy.
- Support troubleshooting and debugging efforts of test systems and components.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and ensure compliance with test standards and procedures.
- Participate in design reviews, safety briefings, and status meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in a lab or engineering environment (internships/co-ops count).
- Solid understanding of electrical/electronic circuits and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators).
- Basic proficiency with test automation tools and data analysis (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or similar is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Must have a clean background to meet clearance requirements.
- Willingness to relocate to Crane, Indiana - relocation assistance will be provided.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Previous experience with DoD testing environments or defense electronics.
- Familiarity with environmental or reliability testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
