Business Support Officer (HR & Administration) - Temporary

Location: 4-10 Linenhall Street, Belfast | Hours: 37/week | Rate: £20.66 PAYE | Start: 23 Feb 2026

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to provide HR and administrative support across a busy department. You will assist managers with HR policies, employee relations, attendance management, recruitment, payroll, training, and general office administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes.
  • Supervise, train, and develop assigned staff.
  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Coordinate induction, training, and HR-related projects.
  • Handle Freedom of Information and data subject access requests.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Third-level qualification in Business Studies, HR, or equivalent, OR 3+ years HR/admin experience.
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, databases) and organisational ability.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and team-working skills.
  • Ability to work confidentially, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
