πŸ’° Salary: Up to $115,000/year (based on experience)

About the Role:

We're seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with strong lab and debugging skills to join our fast-moving, interdisciplinary team. This role focuses on circuit-level design and troubleshooting, firmware development, and system-level integration for advanced sensing and IoT-enabled platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in high-frequency domains (MHz+), thrives in a lab environment, and brings a strong problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debug and troubleshoot custom circuit boards, including identifying issues related to layout, grounding, and signal integrity.

  • Solve complex noise, EMI, and grounding problems in analog and mixed-signal systems.

  • Write, test, and debug firmware for microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, MSP430, AVR).

  • Perform hands-on lab work using oscilloscopes, soldering tools, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and other instrumentation.

  • Support and contribute to RF and high-frequency circuit design and validation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalable.

  • Assist in IoT system development and integration for remote sensing applications.

  • Travel internationally as needed (typically 1-3 times per year).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.

  • Proven experience debugging complex circuit boards.

  • Solid understanding of grounding, shielding, and noise mitigation in electronic systems.

  • Experience in firmware development for embedded systems (C/C++).

  • Comfortable working at frequencies in the MHz range and above.

  • Strong hands-on lab skills - must be adept with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering, VNAs, etc.

  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with IoT platforms, remote sensing, or wireless communication protocols (LoRa, Zigbee, BLE).

  • Background in RF design, antenna theory, or advanced sensors.

  • Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and production-ready hardware.

  • Familiarity with EPR, NMR, or instrumentation used in chemical/physical analysis.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Outgoing, collaborative personality with the ability to juggle multiple projects.

  • International travel experience or comfort working with global teams.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work on innovative products at the intersection of hardware, physics, and remote sensing.

  • Collaborative and mission-driven work environment.

  • Room for growth in a technically challenging and rewarding space.

  • Travel opportunities and interaction with global customers.
