About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of IoT devices used in the oilfield industry. This role involves both hands-on fieldwork and embedded/software development, offering a unique opportunity to work across multiple disciplines. You'll play a key role in creating and refining IoT solutions, overseeing their manufacturing, and collaborating with clients to optimize implementation. Curiousity is a huge element to being successful in this role as most of our clients request bespoke builds; you will have a key input to the success of the company. You will have a lot of autonomy for trial and error, we want an innovator and someone who is passionate about building creative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy curcuit boards/IoT devices for oilfield applications
  • Provide on-site technical support for prototype rollouts
  • Design and optimize electrical systems, firmware, and software
  • Improve data collection and analysis using AI/ML techniques
  • Maintain and enhance web applications for IoT device communication
  • Manage hardware development, including RF circuit design and EM simulations
  • Work independently on multiple challenges, including electrical, software, and mechanical issues

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, OR Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Some of this job will be client facing
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electronic systems

Preferred Skills

  • Electrical Engineering: Schematic design, circuit analysis, and vendor management for hardware productionSoftware Development: Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python for firmware and FPGA development
  • Data Analysis: AI/ML techniques, nonlinear optimization, and signal processing for large dataset
  • RF Engineering: Development and optimization of mixed analog and RF electronic systems
  • IT & Web Development: Managing online dashboards for IoT devices using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 per year
  • Experience Level: 3-5 years preferred
  • Location: Houston, with some on-site fieldwork required
