Governance, Compliance, and Systems Officer
Location: Civic Centre, BH2 6DY (Hybrid Working)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
About the Role
A public sector organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Governance, Compliance, and Systems Officer to join their Procurement and Contract Management team on a temporary basis. This role is key to supporting procurement functions by ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, governance frameworks, and organisational policies.
You will work closely with senior officers to maintain and improve governance frameworks and procurement systems, helping to deliver transparency, accountability, and value for money across all contracts.
What You'll Do
- Support governance and compliance across procurement and contract management activities
- Monitor adherence to procurement laws, including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015
- Assist with audits and investigations to resolve non-compliance issues
- Manage and optimise procurement systems, providing training and support to staff
- Liaise with legal, finance, and other internal teams to ensure best practice
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes, preferably within the public sector
- Familiarity with UK procurement regulations and public sector governance
- Experience working with procurement and contract management systems
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
