System Engineer - High Performance Computing (HPC)
Location: Maryland
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph required
Compensation: Up to $245,000
A mission-driven team is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer with a specialty in High Performance Computing (HPC). This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems that directly support national security. The ideal candidate will have prior experience within the intelligence community, particularly with NSA or similar agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and prototype advanced HPC systems with a focus on performance and scalability.
Lead system lifecycle planning to align systems with mission needs and evolving requirements.
Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB), contributing to configuration management and documentation.
Develop comprehensive system engineering artifacts including SEPs, ICDs, and requirement specs.
Drive interface definition and system configuration across cross-functional teams.
Derive and manage complete and verifiable system/component requirements.
Implement information assurance strategies to ensure system security and compliance.
Apply and adhere to evolving industry standards for consistency and interoperability.
Guide system integration efforts, from architecture development to validation and testing.
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
Experience supporting NSA or other IC agencies.
Minimum 14 years of system engineering experience (HPC focus preferred).
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
Proven expertise in HPC system design, prototyping, and lifecycle support.
Strong background supporting CCB processes and documentation.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
