Housing Officer
A local authority is looking for an experienced Housing Officer to deliver a professional, high-quality housing service across your locality. You will use your knowledge of housing management, compliance, and tenancy work to support customers and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a mixed-tenure housing service to customers in your locality
- Resolve housing management issues including neighbourhood management, compliance case work, and inspections
- Ensure neighbourhoods are safe while listening to customer needs
- Develop creative solutions to achieve positive housing outcomes
- Contribute to shaping sustainable, inclusive communities
- Fulfil landlord responsibilities and comply with policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Take a proactive approach to health & safety and compliance
- Provide an excellent customer experience to support high satisfaction levels
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to carry out routine checks and deliver improvements
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partner agencies
Essential Criteria
- Experience as a Housing Officer or in a similar housing management role
- Understanding of neighbourhood management, compliance, and tenancy management
- Full driving licence and access to a car
