Housing Officer

A local authority is looking for an experienced Housing Officer to deliver a professional, high-quality housing service across your locality. You will use your knowledge of housing management, compliance, and tenancy work to support customers and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a mixed-tenure housing service to customers in your locality
  • Resolve housing management issues including neighbourhood management, compliance case work, and inspections
  • Ensure neighbourhoods are safe while listening to customer needs
  • Develop creative solutions to achieve positive housing outcomes
  • Contribute to shaping sustainable, inclusive communities
  • Fulfil landlord responsibilities and comply with policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements
  • Take a proactive approach to health & safety and compliance
  • Provide an excellent customer experience to support high satisfaction levels
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to carry out routine checks and deliver improvements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partner agencies

Essential Criteria

  • Experience as a Housing Officer or in a similar housing management role
  • Understanding of neighbourhood management, compliance, and tenancy management
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
