Liaison Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Liaison Engineer to play a key role in supporting aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, and modification programs. This position involves dispositioning non-conformances, developing repairs, and coordinating their implementation while ensuring compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site engineering support for maintenance and modification programs, ensuring technical solutions are developed and implemented effectively
- Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for customers, maintenance providers, and internal teams
- Lead the development and certification of repair and design change projects, ensuring compliance with engineering and airworthiness standards
- Develop substantiation for design changes and coordinate priorities with the Engineering Manager
- Manage modification projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with department priorities
- Collaborate with regulatory organizations and manufacturing teams to ensure conformity of new designs
- Apply project management principles, tracking progress and keeping stakeholders informed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience)
- 5-10 years of aerospace experience, including 3-5 years of MRB (Material Review Board) experience in structural engineering
- 5+ years in repair design
- Hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing and structural design
- Knowledge of aircraft structural analysis and certification requirements
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in computer-aided documentation and engineering software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
