About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Signal Processing Engineer to support critical national security operations at Fort Meade. This role focuses on Radio Frequency (RF) signal processing, digital modulation, and advanced software development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Software-Defined Radio (SDR), and RF analysis while working in high-security environments.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Develop and optimize DSP algorithms for signal detection, filtering, and demodulation
✔️ Work with Fourier transforms, error control coding, and adaptive beamforming
✔️ Utilize signals analysis tools (e.g., WVT, DVT) to analyze RF waveforms
✔️ Develop and maintain software in C++ and Python on Linux-based systems
✔️ Support real-time software-defined radio (SDR) development and testing
✔️ Work alongside RF engineers, analysts, and cybersecurity teams to enhance signal intelligence capabilities
Required Qualifications:
📌 Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related DSP discipline from an accredited institution
- Four (4) additional years minimum of SSWE or equivalent experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
📌 Experience:
- Four (4) years of experience as a Software Signal Processing Engineer (SSWE) minimum
- Expertise in Fourier transforms, filtering, digital modulation, and error control coding
- Experience with DSP tools, SDR technology, and RF waveform analysis
📌 Technical Skills:
✅ Programming: C++, Python
✅ Operating Systems: Linux
✅ Signal Processing: DSP, SDR, adaptive filtering, demodulation
Security Clearance:
